Update from Your Chair

Your committee met on 22nd November, and I’ve got a few updates to share with you. 😊

💼 Finances
Our accountant presented the annual accounts, and I’m happy to say the club is in great shape! More details will be shared at the AGM.

🚪 New Internal Porch
Our new internal porch has now been built, huge thanks to Paddy and Mark for their hard work!

The maintenance team will be giving it a fresh coat of paint over the next week. This new porch should help keep the warmth in the sports hall when the main door opens.

📺 New TV Screen
A TV screen will soon be installed in the bowlers’ area. No EastEnders or Emmerdale, I’m afraid, it will display the Bowlr diary and game schedule as part of the new online system coming next season.

🛡️ Safeguarding
I’m delighted to let you know that Dawn Styles has been appointed as our new Club Safeguarding Officer. This important role helps ensure we meet all guidelines for supporting young people and vulnerable adults at the club.

🎄 Christmas Lunch – 14 December
Our Christmas Lunch is all arranged! This year we’re using a new catering company offering full table service. Menus are available on the events table. Your committee has agreed to subsidise the meal by £10, making your ticket just £15, great value! If you’ve already paid £25, don’t worry, you’ll receive a £10 refund.

🎅 Roll-Ups Over Christmas
As we approach the Christmas break, we’ve added some extra roll-up sessions, including one on 29 December with breakfast baps! Details and the sign-up sheet are on the green board.
